About Me

A Woman Apart…
Radio and TV personality, freelance writer, music and entertainment junkie, Georgette “Brn Skn” Pierre is a dynamic, energetic force to be reckoned with.  Born to parents from Trinidad and Tobago, she always stood apart from the rest because of her unique style, outgoing personality, and raspy voice.  After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in business from Norfolk State University (NSU), she decided to turn her distinct personality into a career.

A Woman to be Reckoned With…
She made her debut on NSU’s station WNSB 91.1, where she co-hosted a hip-hop show.  Shortly after, she attended grad school at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts.  She became an on-air personality for WERS 88.9 FM, where she was recognized by her peers as Best New DJ.  She became the locally known voice for the reggae and hip-hop shows, Rockers and 889@Night respectively.  She interviewed an array of artists including Common, The Roots, Elephant Man, Collie Buddz, Termanology, and Camp Lo.

Brn Skn went from writing songs, to writing promos, TV scripts, and articles.  She proved there was no limit to her abilities.  She drafted radio promo scripts, developed proposals, and delved into news writing when she worked at WERS 88.9 FM.  She has a blog called Brn Skn Speaks™ and is co-mastermind/editor of online magazine, The R’ebel Mag™ .

From not being seen to being on the screen, Brn Skn took her personality to TV.  After she left grad school, she started working with KarmaloopTV in Boston, a street wear clothing store.  She was a freelance host for two months, writing and executing her own entertainment scripts.  Between discussing the hottest trends in street wear to the latest happenings in music and movies, she proved all she needed was “one mic”.

A Woman on a Mission…
She currently hosts her own online radio show (to coincide with her blog) called Brn Skn Speaks™. In addition to her entertainment ambitions, she plans to start a non-profit organization dedicated to mentorship for young men and women wanting to pursue careers in the arts and entertainment/music industry.
