The Roots- Dear God 2.0

“Dear God 2.0″ is The Roots’ newest single off their upcoming album How I Got Over, slated to drop June 22nd. A remake of the song (of the same title) by Monsters of Folk , Black Thought’s “letter to God” is very reminiscent of their song “Rising Down” (off their last album). The self-titled track described the world as being out of control and hence part of the hook saying “Someone get God on the phone.” This song will wake you up!
I’ve always admired their distinct sound and unorthodox lyrics. I know their new album will be worth the wait. Until next time Brn Skn speaks…
